SUMMARY

This role administers and coordinates the full cycle of accounting of Corporate entities located internationally. Prepares necessary reports for managers to make informed financial decisions.  This role readies and maintains financial and business transactions, applies accounting principles, and has a solid understanding of both accounting theory and practice. Fluid interaction with local subsidiaries and plant controllers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

o   Full Cycle of Accounting, monthly accounting close tasks.

o   Experience in corporate (overhead) allocations and cross - charges.

o   Intercompany Reconciliation and analysis.

o   Performance accrual reviews, new accruals determination and true ups, balance sheet accounts reconciliations.

o   Flux analysis of financial results.

o   Intragroup Transaction, intercompany interest, intercompany loans and notes accounting.

o   Accounting for dissolution, merger and acquisitions of subsidiaries and parent companies

o   Utilizes broad knowledge of the fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accountancy.

o   Provide Internal and External Audit requests.

o   Analyzes the effects of complex transactions upon account relationships and evaluates alternative means of accounting for transactions.

o   Plans the manner in which account structures should be developed or modified.

o   Ensures the adequacy of the financial accounting systems as the basis for reporting to management.

o   Considers the need for new or changed controls.

o   Maintains proper documentation of all local procedures and internal controls to be Followed during the monthly close process.

o   Projects accounting data to show the effects of proposed plans on capital investments, income, cash position, and overall financial condition.

o   Interprets the meaning of accounting records, reports, and financial statements and advises operating officials/management on accounting matters.

o   Strives for continuous improvement of procedures and processes pertaining to the monthly accounting close.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

o   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study

o   Six years of applicable experience.

o   CPA preferred.

o   JDE experience or similar ERP system required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.  Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.  Travel up to 10% including air travel or auto travel.
