Analyst I - Master Data (Material Master)
Job Description
The Analyst I Material Master Data provides critical support to Westlake Global Compounds Europe/Asia business for the creation and maintenance of SAP material master records. This position will be located in Bangalore and will report to the Master Data Supervisor.
Essential Functions
- Provide SAP material master support for Westlake Global Compounds personnel in the execution of the Raw Materials (RM) and MIM or Material Introduction and Maintenance process.
- Manage RM and MIM process.
- Provide support to RM and MIM data providers and approvers.
- Conduct RM and MIM process training for business associates.
- Maintain RM and MIM process documentation.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics.
- Create/maintain/document queries and reporting.
- Support functional/business leaders with Material Master reports.
- Maintain and update monthly the master data dashboard.
- Address the gaps and issues in the process flow to the BPO/manager.
- Actively participate in problem solving and data standardization.
- Support appropriate BPOs (Business Process Owners), manager in process improvements and implement follow up actions.
- Apply strict compliance to related SOPs and to HCC Safety & Integrity policies.
- Conduct Material Master data audits.
- Support the business initiatives and projects through the assigned tasks related to Material Master activities.
- Ensure the coverage and business continuity throughout different time zones by arranging the work in shifts.
- Key relationships: Manufacturing, R&D, EH&S, Master Data, Supply Chain, GTC, PTP, Procurement, IT.

Qualifications
- Any degree with minimum 2 years’ experience in functional area.
- Fluent language skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- SAP (ECC, S/4 HANA, Fiori etc) functional knowledge required i.e. Master Data.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, ability to analyze data to determine best value for the company.
- Positive attitude and strong customer focus.
- Ability to work independently and to demonstrate initiative.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Proactive and able to anticipate issues, solution focused.
- Experience with troubleshooting.
- Attentive to details, able to work accurately.
- Ability to work under pressure, time sensitive environment showing high level of flexibility.
- Team player that must have ability to interact with individuals on all levels.
- Self-motivated to meet aggressive project/task timelines.
