DaVinci Roofscapes has an opening for an Sr. Shipping Clerk in our Shipping Department

The schedule for this position is M-F 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 40 hours a week. The position is located onsite at our Lenexa, KS facility.

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for coordinating all shipping/receiving of full trucks, Less Than Truck Load (LTL) and assists in covering for the shipping team in their absence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Negotiates and coordinates with trucking companies to move our product.
• JDE training for shipping clerks
• Directs activities related to dispatching, routing, or tracking transportation vehicles
• Dispatches shipments to motor carriers by following customer service requirements and carrier utilization plans to achieve performance and profit objectives
• Monitors and ensures shipments are confirmed picked up and delivered as scheduled
• Manages timing of deliveries, including but not limited to, daily tracking and tracing of shipments in transit from the vendor to company warehouse door
• Manages and prepares shipments of bulk
• Works closely with production planning and Customer Service on any changes that occur in production that affect shipping

• EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).
• 2 years of warehouse/shipping experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English is a plus)
