JOB SUMMARY 

 

Clerk will be responsible for various areas of our maintenance and repair orders, contacting customers, running daily reports, equipment documentation and vendor processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled self-starter that desires to be a part of a great team. knowledge of excel and word preferred but not required. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

 

  • Comply with Westlake’s Policys. 

  • Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility. 

  • Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture. 

  • Create and distribute billing operational reports to management and assist with audits/reviews as needed. 

  • Interact with customers through phone and email to answer any billing questions. 

  • Ensure processing of billing data for entry or upload in to billing system. 

  • Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill. 

  • Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned. 

  • Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc. 

  • Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding bills. 

  • Separate invoices, stuff envelopes, and assure that mail is ready in a timely manner. 

  • Perform other clerical functions as requested or needed. 

  • Prepares invoices, listing items sold and service provided, amounts due, and credit terms. 

  • Posts and verifies payoff checks.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

The employee should have the following: 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred. 

  • Intermediate Excel skills. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook. 

  • Data Entry experience. 

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The employee should possess the ability to: 

 

  • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable. 

  • Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out. 

  • Prolong standing or in stationary position.  

  • Complete repetitive movements. 

  • Bend and/or twist.  

  • Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds. 

  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities. 

  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions. 

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection). 

  • Complete repetitive movements such as typing. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in an office environment and occasionally work extended hours. This position will work closely with others in addition to working alone.
