Job Description


Responsible for growing Westlake Royal Building Products market share by generating awareness, creating demand and executing sales strategies in the states of OH, IN, MI, KY, MN, WI, IL, and MO.  Create demand for distribution of Westlake Royal Building Products two step portfolio of brands.  Work special projects as the needs of the business change, including product launches with two step distribution.  Work within a team environment to achieve strong sales results.  Products include TruExterior, Versetta Stone, Cedar Renditions, Celect Siding, Royal/Kleer/Sky PVC, Trim and Mouldings. This will be a remote role with the preferred location of residence being in or near Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN or Columbus, OH.


May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide sales & marketing support to Regional Managers and Territory Managers within a market. 

  • Work with Territory Managers and distribution to develop a business plan for outbound sales.

  • Provide support at the dealer level for special projects, annual buy programs and sales training as needed.

  • Create strong interpersonal relationships at the distributor level with sales team & management team.  

  • Work with distribution to provide solution-based sales strategies to grow sales revenues.

  • Provide a level of professionalism in sales and technical support that makes Westlake Royal Building Products the first choice.

  • Learn and excel at presentation of company story and high-end "pull-through" products.

  • Develop and review downstream target list with the corresponding Territory Manager.

  • Ability to pivot and work special projects as the needs of the business change.

  • Share market intelligence & competitive information with the Regional Managers & Territory Managers.

  • Support local distribution & regional trade show events as needed.

  • Research the builders, contractors and remodelers used by your competitors to develop future leads.

  • Train distribution and dealers on proper installation methods and provide additional resources as needed.


  • At least two years work experience in a related role.

  • Strong work ethic; confident, competitive and driven.

  • Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple team projects.

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to implement solutions.   

  • Superior communication skills and presentation skills are a must.

  • Previous experience with innovation preferred; not afraid to work on new products and projects


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Job will require 80% travel on average. Ability to be away from home for multiple nights per week and riding in automobiles for several hours per day is required. Insurability and valid US state driver’s license is mandatory.
