Job Description

SUMMARY

The National Account Manager, Commercial - East for Westlake Royal Roofing and Stone Solutions is responsible for cultivating, conversion and retention of national and regional commercial accounts for roofing and stone sales in the eastern region of the US. 

This position is responsible for all Westlake Royal Roofing and Stone Solutions products.  Preferred residence location is the Central / Eastern US.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage key relationships within commercial building space (architects, specifiers, colorist, designers, GC’s and corporate entities) on the regional and national level

  • Maintain and improve commercial account relationships in cooperation with multiple local sales teams within the Westlake Building Products family

  • Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs

  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping internal and external stakeholders up to date on current contracts/rebates/build schedules

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients

  • Work with local Territory Managers, Regional Managers and customers to sell premium products on value vs. pricing

  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships 

  • Evaluate and make necessary changes to contracts or bidding strategies to benefit/expand account base and relationships

  • Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business

  • Ability to problem solve and effectively communicate with customers

  • Detailed communication on direction of efforts and pipeline to internal management

  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renew opportunities and communicate with the sales team regularly

  • Cross sell multiple product lines, Stone and Roofing

  • This position will require up to 50% travel

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in building products

  • Ability to negotiate pricing with accounts in multiple markets

  • Project management skills

  • Analytical, financial and data driven

  • MS Office suite proficient

  • Ability to multitask and work with multiple opportunities simultaneously

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback

  • Preference to Construct Connect and Salesforce CRM

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position is remote and will require, at times, up to 50% travel.  Ability to be away from home for multiple nights per week and riding in automobiles for several hours per day is required. Insurability and valid US state driver’s license is mandatory.
