Operator I - Machine
The Machine Operator is responsible for safe operation of various light and heavy scrapping and recycling equipment.
Comply with Boral Safety Policies and Procedures.
Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture.
Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Set up and operate machines for routine established work.
Process treatment of materials.
Monitor equipment for proper operation.
Use specialized equipment.
Help maintain a clean environment.
Identify the material that is recyclable to process.
Adjust, program, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Accurately operate and devices.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Prior years of experience in the field or related area.
Background in mechanics and electrical.
Experience in a scraping and recycling facility.
Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out.
Prolong standing or in stationary position.
Complete repetitive movements.
Bend and/or twist.
Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities.
Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
Wear all the required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, and hardhat protection).
