Quality Manager - U.S. & Mexico
Job Description
SUMMARY
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the quality management system for all concrete building product manufacturing locations in the United States and Mexico. This role ensures that all products meet or exceed internal and external standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The Quality Manager will lead quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence and product reliability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple US and Mexico manufacturing sites for concrete building products.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead, train, and mentor site quality teams to ensure consistent application of quality processes and methodologies.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and finished products.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and support new product introduction.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, complaints, and audits.
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, risks, and improvement activities to senior management.

Education/Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical field is required.
- In-depth knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 or similar), statistical process control, and root cause analysis.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in quality management within the building materials or concrete products industry.
- Experience managing quality systems across multiple manufacturing sites, including international locations (preferably US and Mexico).
Preferred Certifications:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) by ASQ
Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and project management skills.
Communication
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Travel:
- Up to 40% travel to US and Mexico plant locations.
