Job Description
SUMMARY
Westlake is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to lead strategic sales initiatives and drive growth within a key multi-state territory, including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, and Florida-with opportunities to expand into adjacent markets based on business potential. This role is instrumental in promoting our Westlake Royal Window Solutions product portfolio, which features the Krestmark, Legacy, and Magnolia window collections.
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales goals by cultivating strong relationships within the distribution channel segment. This includes working with national and regional retail and wholesale partners to enhance product placement, increase sales volume, and expand market share. Flexibility to travel and a valid driver's license are also required for this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position manages a team, both direct and independent reps, within the region assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Accountable for the performance of the sales team across a focused group of customers and distributors to meet and exceed metrics for safety, revenue, profitability, and key underpinning sales activities
- Supervise, manage, and develop the Territory Sales Managers and Market Development Managers in assigned region
- Determine divisional and individual territory sales strategies. Assess, manage, and coordinate programs and brand positions in the region.
- Analyze and determine multiple products and distribution channel strategies simultaneously
- Responsibility for territory and divisional sales forecasting
- Develop sales strategy to capture increased market share across all sales territories
- Maintain and establish strong relationships with all existing customers and key account relationships
- Work with product management to help identify and qualify new product opportunities
- Work with marketing to understand and execute unique needs of all channels and end users
- Travel with each Territory Sales Manager a minimum of twice per year
- Ensure entire team operates within expense budget parameters
- Create opportunity and take additional share within our distribution channels
- Make presentations, demonstrate products and represent the company at trade shows
- Prepare proposals and contracts
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Must have at least 5 years of successful leadership and team management experience in outside sales, ideally within the building materials sector, with a strong emphasis on vinyl window solutions.
- Proven leader with a deep understanding of distribution channels and a track record of driving growth and operational excellence in the distribution segment.
- Inspires ambition and develops high performing teams
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Excellent skills as an effective and persuasive speaker
- Ability to work with high level executives and support personnel
- Understand the workings and values of each step of the various channels to market
- Demonstrated record of success in sales and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Job will require 70% travel on average. Ability to be away from home for multiple nights per week and riding in automobiles for several hours per day is required. Insurability and valid US state driver’s license is mandatory.
