Job Description

SUMMARY

The S&OP Superintendent will oversee all S&OP functions for the Stone division. The S&OP Superintendent is responsible for Demand Planning, Inventory Strategies, Supply Planning, Monthly S&OP reviews and presentations and continuous improvement of all processes within S&OP. The S&OP Superintendent will lead a team focused on supply planning and collaborate with the sales teams for demand planning. *Must be currently residing in or near the Greencastle, PA area.*

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Helps create the company’s S&OP strategy and drive implementation
  • Leads software implementations and change management
  • Leads S&OP process for the business including monthly updates and reviews
  • Helps provide oversight of the business’ digital systems as it relates to supply chain and logistics
  • Analyzes data from production attainment, customer order management, lead time attainment, past due to lead time orders, etc.
  • Evaluates and report on KPIs 
  • Monitors supply planning with the team 
  • Maintains supply chain inventory to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Trains and leads the Stone planning team
  • Finds cost-effective solutions for S&OP processes
  • Resolves issues that come up (i.e. lack of decision making, delays in materials, etc.)
  • Collaborates with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
  • Ensures S&OP processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • Communicates and collaborates with leaders from customer service, sales, engineering, marketing, operations, etc.
  • Complies with company policy and procedures
  • Maintains constructive working relationships with co-workers and supervisors/managers
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

  • Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field

  • Experience

8-10 years of experience in S&OP or supply chain management

3-5 years of experience in managing teams

Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes 

Working experience of relevant software (i.e. JD Edwards, SAP, etc.)

  • Skills

Ability to organize people and tasks; possess leadership skills; have a strong working knowledge of the company and its products.  Strong communication skills, excellent organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, a strategic and analytical mind; and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). Advanced Level Excel preferred.

  • Communication

Effectively communicate with all levels of employment both verbally and in writing.  Interpersonal skills are also required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The base pay range for this position is $103,000 to $134,000. This range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
