Set-Up Operator

Position Summary: 

Reporting to Production Supervisor with dotted line to Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for safely and efficiently setting up and operating production related equipment in the Concord Aluminum facility. 

Pay Rate: $25.08/hr

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot mechanical problems as required.
• Follow all safety rules and legislation.
• Follow set up procedures and guidelines.
•  Operate machines when needed.
• Properly use all hand and power tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Ensure that all shop equipment is kept clean and in safe working order.
• General Maintenance- (i.e. greasing, oiling and cleaning machines).            
• Train other set up technicians if needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Education and Experience:

• Two years maintenance or set up experience
• Ability to read work instructions
• Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Forklift experience an asset.
• Knowledge of roll forming and roll forming change overs would an asset.
• Must be able to use calipers and other measuring devices.
• Must be able to work before and after regular shift hours.
• Use of hand tools an asset.
• Use of machine shop equipment an asset.
