JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Trainer is responsible for conducting the product installation training for the Sales representatives and customers at various locations, distributions centers and customer locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Support the sales team with any and all technical questions
  • Provide technical support in person or via phone for sales representatives and customers
  • Roofing experience
  • Train sales on any new product launch
  • Test new products for fit for use
  • Support Third party testing as needed
  • Maintain designated training facilities
  • Travel to customer locations to administer trainings, provide support, and assist with technical troubleshooting
  • Communicate closely with sales and management to ensure adequate training and asses training needs
  • All other duties as requested or assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in functional role

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Work in a general busy office environment
  • Travel up to 20-40% required
  • Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to transport training materials and tools to training locations both on and off-site
  • Prolong a stationary seated position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Complete repetitive movements such as typing, talking and walking, etc.
  • Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
  • Prolong standing or in stationary position
  • Complete repetitive movements
  • Move or traverse about the facilities
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The base pay range for this position is $72,000 to $93,000. This range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
