Associate HRBP
SUMMARY
The Associate - HRBP encompasses a diverse mix of human resources functions and assists with the day-to-day operations of the HR Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety.
- Participates in the PACE culture of safety.
- Assists with recruitment process of job requisition, job posting, candidate selection, interviewing, testing, extending offers, hiring and onboarding at assigned sites.
- Manage pre-employment screenings and scheduling of new hire orientations.
- Interprets company policies and ensures policies and practices are complied with
- Utilize Applicant Database and HRIS systems to keep accurate records and files
- Keep employee files in order
- HRIS database super user and contact for employees and supervisors. Train on Workday as needed by employees and supervisors.
- Coordinate Human Resources Corporate efforts such as open enrollment
- Reporting as required by the company
- HR administrative duties, including SAP requisitions, preparing invoices for payment, and tracking of invoicing
- Payroll functions such as reviewing time for accuracy and submitting Payroll after approval or serving as a backup in this role.
- Coordination with employees, Corporate Benefits and Payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping during illnesses and LOA’s
- Assistance with company-sponsored events such as holiday parties, United Way campaigns, health fairs, etc.
- Special projects as requested
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field of study or equivalent experience
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of human resources experience or internship strongly preferred, with prior recruitment experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Able to work with people in various levels within Westlake, particularly in a team environment
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience in a HRIS - Workday preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and infrequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Significant digital dexterity, e.g. using computer keyboard is required. Use of oral communication to perform work is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
