Blending Operator
DaVinci Roofscapes has openings for Blending Operators in our Compounding Department for Day and Night Shift.
Schedule for Day Shift 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (36-48 hours per week rotating schedule).
Schedule for Night Shift 7:00PM - 7:00 AM with a $2.00 Shift Differential for every night shift hour worked. (36-48 hours per week rotating schedule).
Starting Pay- $20.86

Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for setting up, operating, or tending machines to mix or blend materials, such as chemicals, or color pigments. This position will also be producing and supplying quality compound materials for the Injection Molding department by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Observes production or monitors equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
Maintains a safe and clean work environment, while adhering to the principles of First In First Out (FIFO) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
Fills in for the Compound Machine Operator during their absence, including performing machine start-up /shutdown, quality checks, and become familiar with material changeovers
Weighs, measures, and loads ingredients and checks mixture for specified consistency
Adds or mixes chemicals or ingredients for processing
Assists the Compound Machine Operator in the start-up and shutdown of operations as needed
Collects samples of materials or products for laboratory testing
Conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
Forklift certification required
Computer skills required: Spreadsheet Software (Excel)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:
Continually required to stand, continually required to walk, occasionally required to sit, occasionally required to climb, balance, occasionally required to bend, stoop, kneel or crawl, occasionally work in high, precarious places.
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud, the employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
