Loader
SUMMARY
The loader is responsible for ensuring windows are removed from the production line, loaded in carts as needed and moved to the designated area in a timely manner. This position requires accuracy in loading and adherence to safety policies. The loader follows warehouse instructions for building loads and works to minimize damage whenever possible. It is essential that all windows are loaded completely and securely blocked to ensure transit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with Westlake Safety Policies
Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility
Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture.
Remove windows from the production line.
Report any damaged window to the Supervisor or Lead immediately.
Perform work in a safe and timely manner.
Install sashes onto all items (windows), including sash tops and clips.
Maintain housekeeping of production floor.
Manually lift and move the window to the designated area, loading carts if it's necessary for their movement, etc.
Other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Manufacturing/Warehouse 1 year (Preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolong standing for up to 12 hours performing shift work or in a stationary position.
Bend or twist.
Complete repetitive movements.
Handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Remove or replace items up to 50 pounds.
Ascend or descend stairs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out.
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
Wear all the required personal protective equipment.
Work in constant noise above 85 decibels.
