SUMMARY
The Shipper/Receiver plays a crucial role in the Logistics and Supply Chain Operations at Westlake Pipe & Fittings’ Distribution Center. This position is responsible for the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accuracy and integrity in compliance with company policies and procedures. This is a full-time permanent position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Pick and pack orders timely; review work at end of day to ensure completion.
- Receive and count stock items and record data in computer.
- Unload incoming stock and non-stock materials, verifying contents against shipping documents in compliance with company policy and procedures.
- Utilize DSI scanning equipment and JDE system for receiving all stock items and ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Maintain an organized yard and warehouse to optimize efficiency, safety, and customer order turnaround.
- Store stocked products in designated warehouse spaces, managing both indoor and outdoor storage.
- Expedite the delivery or pickup of non-stock items to meet operational requirements.
- Report any discrepancies in received goods to the Warehouse Team Lead and or Supervisor for resolution.
- Communicate deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment, and tools to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to Quality Assurance policies and procedures, ensuring product integrity.
- Construct and inspect packaging, such as Skids and Gaylords, and repack damaged products as necessary.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Warehouse Management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid lift PIV certification (Power Industrial Vehicle) and or MHE truck certification .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to use DSI systems.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, push, bend, twist or crouch.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate as this position is based in the warehouse and outdoors. The work is required in the operation of forklifts and other machinery including but not limited to cut-off saws, shrink-wrappers and others which require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs.
