Shipping Loader Operator-Temporary-1

• This position is Temporary
• Monday to Friday 8 hours/day
• Hourly Rate = $24.83

QUALIFICATIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Follow all safety rules.
• Experience as a Shipping Loader Operator at Westlake Pipe & Fittings or equivalent.
• Demonstrated a good working knowledge of safe and efficient truck-loading procedures is an asset.
• A good understanding of various Pipe and Electrical Fittings SKU’s with regard to the yard/warehouse locations.
• Ability to process all relevant Shipping documentation and to fulfill customers orders according to timelines/deadlines provided.
• Must have the ability to work staggered shift schedule as per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Maintain a valid BC Driver’s License and appropriate Forklift Certification.
• Basic knowledge of computers skills.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud as this position is based in the shipping yard.  May also result in exposure to outside elements.
